Responsibilities
- Build and expand APIs and services focused on elevating payment and checkout experiences
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate payment solutions and implement new functionalities
- Provide on-call support for two weeks every other month to uphold platform reliability
- Optimize service scaling and performance to ensure smooth transaction processes
- Contribute innovative ideas to enhance system capabilities and performance
- Guide and mentor junior engineers toward best practices in Ruby and software development
- Continuously research and implement the latest trends and technologies in eCommerce solutions

- 7+ years of professional experience with Ruby, focusing on software development and payment systems
- Proficiency in system architecture, software design patterns, and performance optimization
- Capability to work collaboratively in a remote, team-oriented environment
- Background in scaling services and optimizing their performance
- Qualifications in integrating diverse payment providers and creating cohesive payment flows
- Solid problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and operational efficiency
- Familiarity with PHP, Scala, or TypeScript
