Responsibilities

  • Design and implement network architecture for both on-premises and cloud environments
  • Configure, operate, and automate IaaS networks in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Monitor, log, and troubleshoot network layer and connectivity issues using tools like Splunk and Datadog
  • Enhance network security measures and protocols to safeguard data and systems
  • Lead and mentor junior network engineers in technical and operational best practices
  • Drive the technical design of multi-quarter projects from end to end
  • Contribute to the engineering community through blog posts, open source contributions, tech talks, etc
  • Manage network services for LAN, WAN, and telecommunications systems
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers and partner organizations impacted by network changes
  • Analyze and resolve complex network problems, recommending both interim and long-term solutions
  • Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders with varied perspectives to develop effective solutions
  • Apply systems thinking to analyze issues and implement holistic solutions across organizational boundaries
  • Investigate and document issues or incidents, identifying underlying causes and necessary actions for resolution
  • Propose improvements to enhance the quality and performance of network products, services, solutions, or processes

  • 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6+ years with a Master's degree in a technical field
  • Expertise in configuring enterprise or service provider grade network hardware
  • Strong knowledge in cloud networking, particularly in AWS and Azure
  • Proficiency in network monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting
  • Experience in network security and NetDev practices
  • Skilled in routing protocols such as OSPF, MPBGP, ISIS, and MPLS
  • Understanding of physical and virtual network technologies and their interoperability
  • Knowledge of network configuration and management models (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow, IPFIX, Netconf, Restconf, gRPC)
  • Proven ability to lead decentralized teams and manage multi-quarter projects
  • Formal mentoring experience with at least 3 individuals
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP, CCIE, AWS Professional, AWS Network Specialty) are preferred
  • Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level

  • Advanced certifications in networking and cloud technologies
  • Experience with additional cloud platforms like GCP
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in team leadership
  • Active participation in professional engineering communities
