EPAM is on the lookout for a talented Senior Magento Engineer to join our PHP Solutions department to work with Adobe Commerce (Magento) and take charge of developing and implementing the Player Engagement Services (PES) marketing platform tailored specifically for game development studios.

This is a fully remote position that offers you the flexibility to work from any location in Armenia, whether it's your home or well-equipped offices in Yerevan or Gyumri.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize Magento modules according to the project requirements
  • Implement integrations with third-party APIs and services to enhance the functionality of the e-commerce platform
  • Optimize website performance by analyzing and refining backend processes and database queries
  • Maintain and improve the security of the platform by implementing best practices and security patches
  • Collaborate with front-end developers and designers to ensure seamless integration and functionality
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise in the day-to-day running of the Adobe Commerce websites
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards of code quality and scalability

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Adobe Commerce Cloud
  • Proficiency in PHP and MySQL with a strong understanding of Magento 2 architecture and coding standards
  • Experience in developing custom Magento modules and working with Magento APIs
  • Solid understanding of e-commerce data organization and relationships, including store catalogs (categories/products/attributes), customer data, and order data
  • Familiarity with Composer, CLI tools, and version control systems, particularly Git
  • Knowledge of optimization techniques for high-traffic environments and experience in performance tuning
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • B1+ English level proficiency
