Responsibilities
- Draw on and expand your skills in building highly scalable solutions while influencing others and improving the overall level of self-direction within the team
- Manage the applications infrastructure and provide/implement recommendations to optimize stack resources
- Mentor and guide a team of 2-3 engineers to foster professional growth and development
- Design and implement robust software solutions for innovative e-commerce processing systems
- Ensure high-quality code through writing unit and integration tests
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and to specification
- Continuously improve the system by analyzing and implementing Java and Spring version upgrades
- 7+ years of experience in Object Oriented programming, multi-threaded programming, and system-level programming
- Proficiency in Java 8 and above, Spring Boot or Spring MVC, and AngularJS or other front-end technologies
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and build tools like Gradle or Maven
- Competency in SQL and NoSQL datastores; familiarity with MongoDB and ElasticSearch is beneficial
- Understanding of CI/CD systems; knowledge of Jenkins and Spinnaker is a plus
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Kibana, or Splunk
- Capability to mentor a team of 2-3 engineers
- Experience with Java and Spring version upgrades
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and EKS
- Skills in tracing HTTP requests across multiple systems
- Proficiency in optimizing SQL/NoSQL queries or Java code for performance
- Familiarity with Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Experience in analyzing reports to save costs on AWS and optimizing AWS infrastructure
- Competency in debugging exceptions and errors in logs and resolving them
- Background in writing Spark jobs
