Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain secure backend services and APIs to support business needs
- Design and implement scalable microservices using Java, Spring, and Azure technologies
- Write unit tests to ensure code reliability and performance
- Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality standards across the team
- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of services
- Participate in SCRUM ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups
- Mentor junior developers by sharing best practices and fostering a collaborative learning environment
- Follow continuous integration (CI) practices to automate builds and deployment
- Understand and contribute to the ongoing improvement of existing codebases and architecture
- Researched new technologies and practices to support team growth and improve system performance

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus
- 6+ years of hands-on development experience with Java, Spring, and backend services
- Proven experience with APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud frameworks (Azure preferred)
- Strong understanding of multithreading and object-oriented design patterns
- Familiarity with event-driven programming and data modeling techniques
- Experience with unit testing and a solid understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Knowledge of Azure cloud services and related technologies
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, including Spring Batch, Kafka, and Terraform
- Ability to work within Agile frameworks and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Experience in financial services, particularly wealth management, is a plus but not mandatory
