We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in Unqork or Appian, as well as hands-on experience with Java, Spring, and backend services. This role will involve working within an Agile environment to deliver high-quality microservices, APIs, and secure backend systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and continuously contribute to the optimization of our development practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement backend microservices and REST APIs to meet business needs
  • Develop and maintain scalable code using Java, Spring, and related technologies
  • Write unit tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the software
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
  • Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to ensure seamless deployments
  • Participate in SCRUM ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of learning and growth
  • Follow best practices, including continuous integration (CI), code quality, and testing standards
  • Adapt to new technologies and practices to improve team performance
  • Understand and review existing code to ensure proper integration and functionality

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's degree a plus)
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in software development, particularly with backend services
  • Strong expertise in Unqork or Appian, with practical experience in low-code development
  • Proven experience with Java, Spring Framework, and RESTful API development
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns
  • Basic knowledge of WebLogic or other middleware technologies
  • Experienced in unit testing and have a strong understanding of development best practices
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including SCRUM practices
  • Knowledge of financial services and wealth management (optional, but a plus)
  • Ability to mentor and collaborate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
