Senior Java Developer

We are looking for a highly competent, hands-on, deeply technical, and passionate Senior Java Developer to join our Server Engineering team. The successful candidate will work closely with development engineers, product leadership, and peers based out of our facilities in India and California.
This position offers remote setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Georgia, whether it's your home, well-equipped offices in Tbilisi and Batumi or a coworking space in Kutaisi.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and development initiatives
  • Design and develop new features following Agile methodologies
  • Conduct functional and automation testings for new feature implementation
  • Maintain high standards of reliability, availability, performance, and scalability
  • Troubleshoot and maintain existing codebases in large scale complex environments
  • Collaborate with developers, product, and program management to develop customer-impacting solutions
  • Provide technical input for new features and partner with business owners and architects to implement solutions
  • Work within a MacOS-specific environment

  • 6+ years of production experience in development
  • Deep expertise in server development with Java
  • Proficiency in Spring Framework and SQL databases
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments
  • Understanding of Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD processes
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Skills in building and testing tools like Maven and TestNG
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Competency to collaborate with both onsite and offshore teams
  • Capability to support applications and systems in a production environment and translate requirements into documented technical designs
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, EKS, Kubernetes
  • Understanding of Microservices architecture
  • Background in Spring security, Cloud and Data, Liquibase
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and their practical applications
