Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java-based applications using Java 8, Scala, Spark
• Collaborate with the development team to enhance the user interfaces using Java and JavaScript/React
• Upgrade and maintain backend Oracle databases
• Build and consume standard REST services and WS-Security
• Contribute to the migration of services to the Oracle Cloud
• Identify and troubleshoot performance and functionality issues in the applications
• Ensure industry best practices and company standards are adhered to
• Foster continuous improvement and proactively suggest optimizations
• Manage integration of new components written in Ruby on Rails
• Document software configurations and project progress clearly and consistently

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
• Proficiency in Java 8 and Spring framework
• Expertise in REST API integrations and WS-Security
• Knowledge of Oracle Database Services
• Familiarity with cloud services, specifically Oracle Cloud
• Understanding of version control systems and continuous integration tools
• Competency in embedding Java components into different application environments
• Background in Java-based user interface development, ideally with JavaScript/React
• Hands-on experience with design and development of backend databases, preferably Oracle instances
• Capability to multi-task and manage time effectively
