Responsibilities
- Develop software programs and utilities used in the organization
- Recommend software upgrades for existing systems
- Review current systems and propose ideas for system improvements
- Produce detailed specifications and implement program codes
- Test products in controlled situations and rectify any issues before deployment
- Use versioning control systems
- Maintain systems once they are operational
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years of solid work experience in Java development
- Familiarity with Java EE, WildFly, Java 11, Spring Boot (Web, WebFlux), and Oracle DB
- Experience with AWS, including DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, DocumentDB, Timestream, Lambda, etc
- Proficient in Kubernetes (AWS EKS), Terraform, and ELK (Elastic Cloud)
- Proficiency in event-driven programming, databases, versioning control systems, and software testing techniques at all levels
- Experience in the financial services industry
- Proactive, sharp, and efficient
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of AWS services like API Gateway, Kinesis, etc
- Experience with REST API
- Familiarity with containers (Docker) and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Understanding of queuing/messaging technologies
- Experience with additional technologies such as Kafka and Helm
- Knowledge in Jenkins, Git, GitLab, and Gradle
