Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a talented and collaborative Senior Java Developer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on migrating existing users and use cases, along with the relevant capabilities, to Grafana Cloud and other sophisticated tools. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and user experience. You'll be instrumental in driving the adoption of new technologies and methodologies within our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to identify their requirements and integrate improved telemetry data collection into their applications
  • Partner with the SRE team to establish and implement SLOs and alerting workflows for various applications
  • Develop and refine platform libraries to support new telemetry signals
  • Build and update platform libraries and infrastructure to gather telemetry from desktop applications
  • Design and update automated checks for system health
  • Develop and improve dashboards for application monitoring and troubleshooting

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Java Developer
  • Proficiency in Java Spring for backend development
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, including creating dashboards, setting up alerting, and managing integrations
  • Familiarity with Linux systems
  • Skilled in developing and managing RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Familiar with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
  • Understanding of microservices architecture patterns
  • Strong English communication skills, capable of effective interaction at an intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with OpenTelemetry standards, agents, and collectors
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages such as C#, Python, or Go Language
