Responsibilities
- Understand current and upcoming changes to the playtest schedule and coverage needs
- Supervise testers' daily tasks to ensure the highest priority objectives are achieved
- Track and report team activity such as attendance, challenges, and escalations
- Review and evaluate the effectiveness of testers' work on the project
- Engage in staffing activities to build a capable and adaptable testing team
- Troubleshoot defects and escalate situations that hinder project completion
- Plan, oversee, execute, and report the results of testing activities for the team
- Install and run builds on Consoles/Mobile devices and train testers in these processes
- Provide knowledge transfers and conduct onboarding or upskilling for team members
- Coordinate testing workflows for teams of 5-20 or independently organize testing from the ground up
- Evaluate candidates for QA positions by assessing theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and seniority levels
- Ensure project documentation is clear, concise, and supports functional requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in software testing, with a background in game testing being a plus
- Expert understanding of project documentation and the ability to provide functional requirements
- Advanced experience in Software Quality Control processes and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in planning testing efforts, executing activities, and communicating results effectively
- Expertise in installing builds on various platforms like consoles or mobile devices
- Avid gamer with hands-on familiarity with multiple game titles and genres
- Flexibility to work onsite during office hours starting at 9-9:30 AM
- Willingness to participate in planned weekend overtime shifts once per quarter
- Proactiveness and ability to self-manage tasks without supervision
- Qualifications in taking ownership of testing deliverables and outcomes
- Discretion in managing sensitive and protected client data
- B2 English language proficiency
- Game testing experience
- ISTQB certification
