Senior Full-Stack Java Developer - Remote

We are looking for a talented Developer/Senior Developer to join our dynamic team, where you will work on developing secure backend services, APIs, and microservices. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring, and cloud technologies like Azure, with a passion for working in an Agile environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps and QA while contributing to key business capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement backend microservices and REST APIs to meet business requirements
  • Develop secure and scalable code with Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies
  • Write unit tests and ensure the code is well-tested and reliable
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high coding standards
  • Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and other teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration
  • Participate in SCRUM ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
  • Mentored junior developers and fostered a collaborative learning environment
  • Follow best practices such as continuous integration (CI) and code quality standards
  • Adapt to new technologies and stay current with industry trends and practices
  • Contribute to the ongoing optimization and improvement of the codebase and architecture

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; Master's degree a plus
  • 6+ years of development experience, with expertise in backend services and API development
  • Proven hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, and SQL
  • Solid knowledge of microservices architecture and API design patterns
  • Experience with Azure cloud technologies and associated frameworks
  • Strong understanding of multithreading, object-oriented programming, and design patterns
  • Familiarity with unit testing and principles like Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies like React (or Angular as an alternative)
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Knowledge of financial services and wealth management is a plus but not required
