Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend microservices and REST APIs to meet business requirements
- Develop secure and scalable code with Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies
- Write unit tests and ensure the code is well-tested and reliable
- Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high coding standards
- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and other teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration
- Participate in SCRUM ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
- Mentored junior developers and fostered a collaborative learning environment
- Follow best practices such as continuous integration (CI) and code quality standards
- Adapt to new technologies and stay current with industry trends and practices
- Contribute to the ongoing optimization and improvement of the codebase and architecture

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; Master's degree a plus
- 6+ years of development experience, with expertise in backend services and API development
- Proven hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, and SQL
- Solid knowledge of microservices architecture and API design patterns
- Experience with Azure cloud technologies and associated frameworks
- Strong understanding of multithreading, object-oriented programming, and design patterns
- Familiarity with unit testing and principles like Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
- Proficiency in front-end technologies like React (or Angular as an alternative)
- Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate cross-functionally
- Knowledge of financial services and wealth management is a plus but not required
