Responsibilities
- Leverage existing open-source frameworks, third-party components/libraries, and commercial software for tracking and managing database schema changes across multiple environments
- Create data models and efficient reports using BI tools
- Implement automation and repeatable processes to manage all database (DML/DDL) changes
- Collaborate closely with development teams to optimize application performance
- Work alongside production support and triage teams to identify and resolve data issues and perform necessary data cleanups
- Support and enhance existing insurance applications utilized by both consumers and operations staff
- Ensure application stability and performance in collaboration with infrastructure teams
- Synthesize needs from user feedback and technical constraints into robust solutions
- Guide and mentor junior engineers, encouraging best practices in ETL and data integration

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- 3+ years of experience in big data technologies, cloud computing solutions like AWS Glue, and Kafka for real-time data processing
- Competency in ETL Informatica
- Proficiency in database design, analysis, and optimization techniques including relational, XML schemas, transactional, warehouse, and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB
- Understanding of data integration principles using tools such as Informatica and ETL methodologies
- Familiarity with BI and reporting tools like Tableau or similar
- Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL database programming, Oracle XML development, Oracle 11g or newer versions
- Knowledge of Oracle Database internals, data concurrency, consistency, and query optimizations
- Experience with change management automation and process improvements, preferably using tools like Liquibase
- Display strong leadership skills, technical aptitude, and creativity in problem-solving
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
- Prior experience in the health insurance sector
- Proficiency in additional BI tools or data modeling techniques
- Certification in Informatica or related technologies
