We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong background in AWS and NoSQL Database Administration to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our NoSQL database systems and ensuring seamless integration with our AWS infrastructure. This role requires someone who is proactive, a great communicator, and ready to handle the dynamic needs of our application development environment.

Responsibilities
- Manage a large variety of NoSQL databases
- Participate in on-call duties as required, usually one week per month
- Directly communicate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders relying on our DataStores platform
- Design, implement, and manage NoSQL database systems for high performance, scalability, and reliability
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for efficient NoSQL database provisioning, configuration, and management
- Utilize AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible for automation of infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize NoSQL database performance through indexing, query optimization, and data modeling
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for database schema changes and updates, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity

- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role
- Linux administration experience
- Practical AWS experience including EC2, VPC, RDS, Redis, Route 53, Secret Manager, System Manager, and S3
- Extensive experience with automation tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab pipelines, and Ansible
- Proficiency in scripting languages: bash and python
- Familiar with Jira and Confluence
- Expertise in managing version control systems: GitLab, GitHub
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Terraform, CloudFormation
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience working with dev, staging, and prod environments
- Good understanding of different deployment strategies: A/B, blue/green, canary
- Practical experience working with Containers, mainly Docker
- Experience with monitoring tools: Datadog, Grafana, New Relic
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
- Certifications in AWS or database administration
- Knowledge of additional NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB
