We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to play a key role in managing, optimizing, and expanding our essential scientific computing platform. You will be a part of a dynamic and collaborative DevOps team, providing secure, dependable, and scalable infrastructure that caters to a myriad of scientific use cases. Utilizing modern DevSecOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and the latest technologies will be crucial in meeting the evolving needs of our global scientific community.
This position offers hybrid setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Latvia, whether it's your home or our office in Riga.

- Design, implement, and maintain a robust platform infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, ensuring secure and scalable environments
- Embrace DevSecOps principles, integrating security measures into every aspect of the platform, from infrastructure design to pipeline automation
- Drive deployment and management process automation using GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines
- Build and maintain orchestration environments with Kubernetes to enable containerized workflows
- Administer platform tools such as Ansible, Vault, Consul, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Resolve operational incidents, identify root causes of critical issues, and implement strategies to prevent recurrence and enhance platform resiliency
- Manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems proactively to maintain high availability and visibility across all services
- Identify and implement best practices and emerging tools/technologies to improve DevOps processes, platform capabilities, and development workflows
- Write and update detailed documentation for platform processes and configurations
- Proven experience in DevOps engineering (3+ years)
- Strong understanding of IaC tools such as Terraform
- Extensive knowledge of platform tools like Ansible, Vault, Consul, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and security best practices
- Experience in managing Kubernetes orchestration environments
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills

- English of B2 level and higher
