Senior Delivery Manager

Responsibilities

  • Identify right set of talent for the team based on the backlog (New development, enhancements, maintenance) and align with the tech stack of the individual products
  • Establish knowledge transition and onboarding plan working with the stakeholders
  • Ensure effectiveness of KT Plan by resolving pre-requisites of accesses, SME availability, query responses and play back sessions
  • Establish effective Global Delivery Operating Model for teams spread across US, Canada, India and Mexico
  • Establish right processes to optimally leverage collaboration hours between nearshore and offshore geos
  • Establish clear goals aligned towards Project success and aligned to project development life cycle
  • Evaluate contributions in areas like Problem solving, quality of deliverables and teamwork. Provide regular feedback and coaching to address gaps, if any and reinforce strengths
  • Offer training, mentorship and qualitative feedback from multiple stakeholders. Identify high potential team members for accelerated growth path
  • Enable account level rewards and recognitions programs
  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for engineering practices including code quality, automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
  • Promote and lead initiatives for adopting the latest engineering tools and methodologies aligned to standards
  • Ensure customers' tech Mandates to be accommodated for the learning of self and team to make sure EPAM team is ahead of the curve
  • Drive the adoption of Agile methodologies across the delivery teams focused on improving release predictability and velocity
  • Contribute to PI Planning, Sprint Planning & having techno-functional oversight on the project
  • Develop and implement end to end delivery processes with an eye on process optimization and waste reduction

  • BS degree in an associated field or other advanced certification along with equivalent experience. 10+ years of experience in software delivery
  • 6+ years in positions of Delivery/Team Lead, Solution/Enterprise Architect, or Delivery/Project/Program Manager
  • Strong Software Engineering/ Solutions architect background with the ability to design sustainable solutions
  • Experience in using modern Java/JavaScript technologies. • Strong understanding of solutioning for the cloud
  • Working knowledge of continuous integration, branching strategies, test automation strategies and technical best practices
  • Solid experience in managing delivery engagements end-to-end on teams averaging 50+ in total
  • Experience in working in setup with strong vendor management/procurement group presence
  • Experience in governing project delivery across the board of all stakeholders and proven track record in handling complicated engineering issues, assuring quality and timely delivery

This posting includes a base salary range EPAM Canada would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate. Individual compensation offers within the range are based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, training, the demand for the role, skillset, and overall business and local labour market considerations. Most candidates are hired at a salary within the range disclosed. Salary range: CA$145,000 - CA$190,000.
