Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Product, UX, and SMEs to iterate on the concept, test feasibility, and design a functional prototype
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine concepts for AI-driven applications
- Communicate findings and insights effectively to team members and stakeholders
- Build on applications utilizing large language models, focusing on content generation, search, long document summarization, and question answering
- Design lightweight user interfaces using agile practices for development
- Utilize RAG frameworks, instruction fine-tuning, and synthetic data generation to enhance model performance

- Strong understanding of NLP techniques and exposure to multiple application areas
- Extensive experience with prompt engineering, such as prompt optimization, auto-evaluation, function calling, in-context learning and controlled generation
- History working with RAG frameworks, instruction fine-tuning, and synthetic data generation
- Hands-on with Python, Git, and AWS for remote development and model deployment
- Comfortable building lightweight UIs, rapid prototyping and iterating on greenfield concepts
- Ability to apply agile development practices and problem-solve
- Familiarly with building applications for the legal domain, such as information retrieval or drafting use cases

This posting includes a base salary range EPAM Canada would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate.
