Senior Data Quality Engineer

We are currently looking for Senior Data Quality Engineers to join Data Practice team and work with EPAM strategic clients.
As Data Quality Engineer you will be providing continuous automated and manual testing of large scale traditional and cloud-based Enterprise DWH as well as identifying gaps in the quality assurance and testing, processes, helping create and implement quality processes and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product and engineering and customer teams to understand requirements to implement quality testing strategy
  • Creating test plans and test cases, manage continuous integration and regression testing processes
  • Designing and Implement quality verification of data products strategy and ensure that all areas of the business needs performing according to the defined standards
  • Defining priorities, risk and attributes in quality testing strategy as well as choosing proper Data tools
  • Preparing Data Quality environments and applications in compliance with the standards
  • Preparing test data sets, perform data profiling and benchmarking
  • Designing, monitoring, and maintaining QA reports, KPIs & quality trends
  • Perform data verification according to GDPR and other security rules
  • Collaboration with all teams involved in Data Solution Development to ensure efficient tasks execution for achieving results
  • Creating test artifacts and deliverables according to the Engineering Excellence (EngX)

  • Engineering experience and practice in Data Management, Data Quality verification/Data Governance, Data Visualization testing, Data Integration
  • Familiar with testing methods - TDD, BDT, DDT
  • Familiar with concepts of data ingestion pipelines, data storages like: OLTP databases, Data Warehousing, Data Lakes
  • Knowledge and practical experience in validation of data management systems
  • Understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices in data processing
  • Analytical approach to problem solving; excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in Data analysis & requirements validation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced (startup like) agile development environment
  • Experience in direct customer communications
  • Skills in infrastructure troubleshooting, support in performance tuning and optimization, bottleneck problem analysis
  • English proficiency
