Responsibilities
- Engage deeply with senior executives to define and execute Enterprise-wide Data Management & Governance Strategy programs and business-cases, often becoming the "trusted advisor"
- Lead Data Management & Governance assessments to help clients gradually improve capabilities from current state to the viable state of maturity by creating strategy, roadmaps and implementation plans
- Leverage your deep understanding of business and IT capabilities to build technology solutions for Data Management and Governance which help to innovate and create value across the client organization
- Provide end-to-end services from strategy ideation and use case elaboration to MVP implementation and further enterprise scaling-out
- Lead customer conversations and architectural teams to define modern Data Management architecture and developing practices to manage data through its lifecycle
- Support business development efforts, including proposal development, Statements of Work, and client presentations
- Create consulting offerings and reusable templates
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Technology or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years in a Consulting role leading Data Management & Governance initiatives
- Deep practical subject matter expertise in at least 2-3 of the following areas: Data Governance Operating model & Policies, Data Quality, Master Data Management, Metadata Management & Data Cataloging, Data Lineage, Data Compliance
- Understanding of data governance frameworks (DAMA, DCAM), methodologies, processes and how to implement them
- Experienced in building relationships with directors and C-levels stakeholders by developing a deep understanding of the customer business and driving data-driven insights
- Practical expertise in conducting maturity assessment and gap analysis and providing strategic roadmap and solution implementation guidelines
- Hands-on experience in running customer workshops and other collaboration sessions to discover customer priorities, understand current state, and determine maturity/readiness to execute on enterprise Data Management & Governance vision
- Expertise on industry & market trends with tools scoring model for selecting fit for purpose technology solution and tailoring and applying industry best practices at scale
- Extensive practical expertise with modern data stack, agile environments and high-end technologies
- Ability to work independently, manage small engagements with multiple work threads, or parts of large engagements
- Excellent verbal and written command of the English language, to drive client side discussions and draft concise documentation when required
- Experience in leading data transformation projects
- Technology expertise with one or several commercial or open-source tools, e.g. Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Ataccama, Azure Purview, Atlas, Talend, Soda
- Understanding of modern concepts as Data Observability, DataOps and Data Mesh
- Technology expertise in modern Big Data & Cloud stack: Spark, Snowflake, Databricks, etc
- Practical expertise in implementation of Data Governance for modern cloud data lakes
