We are in search of a technically driven Senior Cloud Operations Engineer who has a robust expertise in reliability-centered Azure cloud settings.
The Cloud Ops Engineer will assume a pivotal position in handling and diagnosing Azure environments for a secure data distribution initiative that involves relational databases and an S3 data lake. Proficient scripting abilities with PowerShell and Azure CLI, along with a profound understanding of Azure SQL, are vital for thriving in this position.

Responsibilities
- Execute deployment, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of high-availability enterprise solutions following industry standards in Microsoft Azure
- Oversee system monitoring, performance tuning, uptime management, alert notifications, and orchestrate automation tasks to maintain system health
- Develop and establish new development tools to enhance automation and facilitate code deployment, with a strong emphasis on Azure operations and application configuration
- Administer and resolve issues with Azure SQL Database services, owning the problems and pushing for resolutions
- Assess and rectify infrastructure or software applications using tools such as Azure Web Services, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights
- Employ PowerShell for streamlining operational tasks
- Actively seek out and mitigate technical risks that might impact system performance or security
- Keep system process documentation current to meet compliance and auditing standards
- Tackle system failures and disruptions, including emergency interventions outside normal hours when required
- Facilitate software deployment in customer virtual private clouds, including AWS environments

- 3+ years of experience in a SRE or DevOps role
- Expertise in Azure SQL troubleshooting
