Senior Cloud Network Engineer - AppGate

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our cloud network infrastructure and the AppGate platform. This position calls for an experienced professional with expertise in networking, cloud environments, and security who can ensure exceptional performance, scalability, and compliance across our systems.

• Configure and manageVirtual Private Clouds (VPCs), routing, network security services, load balancing, and Cloud DNS
• Set up hybrid connectivitythrough Cloud Interconnect and Cloud VPN
• Create and manage entitlementsin AppGate to define access to specific network resources based on identity, location, device health, and other contextual factors
• Add and manage IP addresseswithin the AppGate system to ensure proper network access control
• Manage AppGate entitlements for users and devices to maintain fine-grained access control
• Troubleshoot latency issues and performance degradation within the AppGate platform
• Perform maintenance and quarterly patching of AppGate controllers and gateways
• Ensure systems remain compliant with security standards and maintain optimal performance
• Provide input and support for network monitoring tools (ELK, SolarWinds) to identify anomalies and ensure proactive resolutions
• Collaborate with internal teams on network architecture enhancements and automation strategies
• Participate in on-call rotations and remote troubleshooting tasks

• 6-10 years of working experience in networking and cloud environments
• Experience with AppGatefor entitlement creation and IP management
• Proficiency in configuring and managingVPCs, deployment, and troubleshooting
• Background in BGP routingbetween Data Center Colo and Cloud providers
• Knowledge of network securityservices, including firewalls and VPNs
• Strong understandingof network protocols and services like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
• Proficiency in using tools like ELK and SolarWinds to monitor and optimize network performance
• Competency in network automation tools and scripting languages including Python and Terraform
• Working experience with Jenkins Pipeline for automation and deployment tasks
• Showcase of problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across teams
• Flexibility to work remotely and actively participate in on-call rotation
