Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure VMware Solution)

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Cloud Engineer to oversee the AVS (Azure VMware Solution) Migration.
In this pivotal role, you'll be entrusted with the hands-on execution of a complex transition from on-premises to Azure, involving intricate configuration and optimization of numerous infrastructure components. The ideal candidate will bring a strong problem-solving ability, ensuring effective integration and operational excellence while maintaining security and performance.

Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize AVS-based workloads, using Azure Migrate and VMware tools (vMotion) to ensure minimal downtime
• Manage the configuration and troubleshooting of network connectivity (ExpressRoute) for robust, secure traffic flow to both on-premises and secondary cloud regions
• Oversee deployment and management of essential infrastructure services such as load balancing with F5, firewall settings, storage setup, and SQL database connectivity
• Diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues collaborating with architects, network engineers, and security teams
• Contribute to the creation of documentation and best practices aimed at enhancing team knowledge and improving operational efficiency
• Refine and augment design and strategy for solution deployment; staying informed on new Azure and VMware technological developments

• 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Azure
• Demonstrated expertise in undertaking large-scale datacenter-to-cloud migrations, particularly with AVS, VMware, and Azure Migrate
• Advanced knowledge in network configuration and virtualization, including ExpressRoute and vMotion
• Proficiency in managing load balancing (F5), firewall configurations, storage solutions, and SQL database integration
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues in demanding project scenarios
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Administrator or VMware credentials are advantageous

• Proficiency in additional network tools and technologies
• Experience with infrastructure as code, specifically Terraform
