Responsibilities
- DB Cluster Planning: Estimate data sizing, identify hardware requirements based on data size and transaction volume, and plan the setup of DB clusters
- Installation and Configuration: Create, install, and configure DB clusters, ensuring smooth operations
- Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Utilize monitoring tools to ensure cluster availability and performance. Fine-tune performance aspects like Java Virtual Machine (JVM), caches, and compaction
- Data Management: Export data into different formats and use primary and secondary indexes effectively for data queries
- Backup and Restoration: Implement backup and restoration procedures to secure the system in case of failure
- Stress Testing: Conduct stress tests on clusters and interpret performance results

- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- In-depth knowledge of architecting and creating Cassandra/NoSQL database systems
- Proficiency in Cassandra data modeling, NoSQL architecture, keyspace, table, index creation, user creation, and access administration
- Strong understanding of Cassandra's complex inner workings, including the gossip protocol, hinted handoffs, read repairs, Merkle trees, tombstones, and garbage purging
- Administration, maintenance, and support of the cluster using tools like Opscenter, Devcenter, Linux, and Spark
- Experience with CQL queries to support integration with Cassandra Cluster
- Hands-on experience with creating, installing, and configuring Redis clusters, managing Redis processes, and more
- Proficiency in Redis data model and commands, including different data types, publishing/subscribing, transactions, key expiration, and sorting
- Experience in Redis data management, including replication, snapshots, persistence options, AOF, master-slave replication, memory, and CPU consumption optimization
- Scalability knowledge, both vertical and horizontal
- Backup and restoration procedures
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud and basic services (Elastic Compute, S3, IAM)
- B2+ English level proficiency
- Experience with DSE (DataStax Enterprise)
- Hands-on experience with Cassandra databases hosted on AWS cloud
- Good knowledge of Linux and Java configuration
- Integration experience with Solar and Spark
- Proficiency in automation and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Team City
- Familiarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, and Python
- Any experience with Astra or AWS Keyspaces
