Senior AS400 Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Senior AS400 Administrator to take a key role in the administration, management, and support of our iSeries - AS400 IBM servers. In this position, you will oversee a team tasked with maintaining optimal server performance, improving system functionality, and troubleshoot complex challenges to reinforce our technical operations.

• Direct the administration and management of iSeries AS400 servers, overseeing daily operations to ensure maximum efficiency
• Supervise the monitoring of server performance, spearheading enhancements and optimizations tailored to business needs
• Provide advanced technical support for system and software connections, acting as an escalation point for complex issues
• Lead incident resolution strategies, and offer high-level technical expertise and guidance to development teams
• Facilitate development and testing environments on iSeries AS400 IBM i servers, ensuring alignment with project goals and requirements
• Oversee and coordinate production deployments and BAU projects, managing project timelines and deliverables
• Analyze and interpret data, generate comprehensive reports, and conduct program debugging on an advanced level
• Administer and optimize disk space, memory allocation, journals, and SQL query response times
• Develop and implement high-availability data replication and disaster recovery plans utilizing iCluster

• 3+ years of experience in administration, management, and maintenance of iSeries AS400 servers, including senior-level responsibilities
• Extensive background in leading technical support initiatives and handling complex incidents
• Proficiency in iSeries AS400 IBM server administration and monitoring, with demonstrated expertise in driving improvements
• Proven track record in supporting and managing development and testing environments at scale
• Advanced knowledge of data extraction, report generation, and programming debugging
• Proficiency with control and monitoring tools for optimizing disk space, memory, and SQL query performance
• Expert in iCluster operations, with significant experience in designing and executing disaster recovery planning initiatives
