Quality Assurance (QA) Manager

As a QA Manager, you play a pivotal role in the strategic management, allocation, and development of an exceptional pool of QA testing engineers. Acting as the backbone of resource operations in quality assurance, you ensure the seamless alignment of talent with project demands while fostering a high-performing QA workforce that drives quality deliverables across the organization.
Your core responsibility is orchestrating resource management activities to build and maintain an agile, scalable pool of QA testers equipped to meet evolving business and client needs. In addition to resource management, you also contribute directly to project success by performing Testing Team Lead/Scrum Master responsibilities, such as defining and overseeing test strategies, leading test execution, managing defect resolution, and ensuring close collaboration between cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

• Resource Allocation: Strategically assign QA testing engineers to projects based on skills, experience, and availability, ensuring optimal resource distribution to meet deadlines and deliverables
• Capacity Planning: Anticipate demand by collaborating with project managers, forecasting QA resource needs, and ensuring the testing team is right-sized for current and future workloads
• Talent Pool Management: Build a robust pool of diverse, skilled QA engineers through recruitment, training, and upskilling initiatives Closely monitor individual and team performance, identifying opportunities for professional growth
• Collaboration: Act as the bridge between QA engineering teams and leadership stakeholders, staffing teams, facilitating communication to address resource bottlenecks, mitigate risks, and ensure accountability for testing excellence
• Process Improvement: Optimize resource management workflows by introducing methodologies, tools, or strategies to streamline engineer onboarding, deployment, and performance evaluation
• Testing Lead Activities: Manage test strategies and execution, resolving defects, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and ensuring collaboration to deliver high-quality software on time to meet client needs

• Background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Bachelor's or Master's degree)
• Proven track record with 5+ years of software testing experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
• Strong understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and similar software development methodologies
• Proficiency in problem-solving, attention to detail, and analytical thinking
• Strong communication and leadership abilities for managing cross-functional teams
• Competency in performance testing, security testing, and API testing is advantageous
