Responsibilities
- Working on Python applications, requiring strong Python experience
- Utilizing AWS technologies (S3, EKS, RDS, MWAA, OpenSearch)
- Having experience with databases and SQL to manage multiple tables connecting to RDS using Python
- Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment
- Architect and guide the development of end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale over AWS
- Develop robust APIs and ensure seamless integration between various platform components
- Estimate work timelines and deliver on those commitments
- Identify problems and risks in your work and the work of others, proactively addressing issues as they arise

- Proficient with Angular for front-end development and Python for back-end systems
- Proven experience in building scalable, high-performance web applications
- Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs with Python
- Familiarity with best practices like TDD and BDD
- Strong knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Hands-on experience in unit and integration testing
- In-depth experience with version control systems (preferably GitLab)
- Collaboration Tools: Confident using tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms
- Exceptional debugging and optimization skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience in the financial industry, particularly in investment banking
- Expertise in defining high-level architectures, including network topology (VPC), compute resources (EC2 instances), storage solutions (S3, EBS), and security controls

This posting includes a base salary range EPAM Canada would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate.
