Responsibilities

  • Assess/Evaluate the current state of Python including all current use cases
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture on identifying and documenting the scope of Python
  • Determine the best approach for creating a modern secure Python Environment
  • Including approach to Packaging/Deploying for different platforms (k8s, Servers, workstations - Windows & Mac)
  • Collaborate with Security on PyEnv deployment and configuration
  • Where does PyEnv sit on the OS, permissions, etc
  • System scanning of PyEnv
  • Secure approach for managing Python libraries
  • Create/Review/Update standards
  • Create documentation/wikis
  • Review/Evaluate the current tooling
  • Create a CI/CD pipeline for Python deployment. ( IN PROGRESS - DevOps has started building a pipeline.)
  • Twistlock scanning for python images
  • Linting in CI/CD for Python development
  • Coverity scanning for Python code

  • Multiple years of experience in the Technical/Application/Solution Architect roles or similar
  • Strong hands-on experience using Python, developing and architecting large-scale products
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes
  • Nice to have skills: Grafana, PyPy, Splunk, Sonar, Twistlock
