We are seeking an experienced ProgreSQL OpenEdge Developer to join our project team.
As a key member of the development team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our suite of applications built upon the ProgreSQL OpenEdge technology.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, develop, and maintain ProgreSQL OpenEdge applications in compliance with best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines
  • Contribute to the upgrade process of the ProgreSQL tech stack to the latest version and upgrade of Red Hat Linux
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, coding, testing, and deployment preparation
  • Work closely with system administrators, database administrators, and other stakeholders to optimize application performance
  • Ensure the integrity, reliability, and security of ProgreSQL databases
  • Implement effective data modeling and schema design for optimal performance

  • Proven experience as a ProgreSQL OpenEdge Developer
  • Experience managing and administering ProgreSQL databases
  • Knowledge of data modeling and schema design
  • Proficiency in database design, optimization, and performance tuning
  • Ability to perform system administration tasks related to the ProgreSQL OpenEdge environment
  • Familiarity with system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux operating systems
  • Comprehensive skills in Bash scripting for automation and system management
  • Familiarity with shell commands, file manipulation, and process control
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with GitLab for version control and collaboration
  • Understanding of system security and access controls
