Our client is one of the world's biggest hedge funds managing investments for a wide array of institutional clients, from charitable foundations to foreign governments and central banks. In this role, you will oversee a newly established back-end team developing an oversight platform for managing all of hedge fund's trade generation activity. You will interact with team members who deeply understand product & business problems and investors who are also technically savvy and work in deep partnership with engineers.

Our Product Team is looking for very senior developers to join the team to build a next-generation AI-powered financial assistant platform. We will be rapidly iterating with our business users to test, refine, and deploy chat, reporting, and bespoke interfaces into their investment workflows. Specifically, we are looking for senior engineers who will help us bring AI-powered financial assistance to a handful of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Build and develop a next-generation AI-powered financial assistant platform, extremely sophisticated tools, and collaborate with some of hedge fund's most relevant investors - we don't have a product for casual users, but instead, we have products that empower a handful of the world's sharpest and most engaging minds
  • Work together with a small team of hands-on engineers, where everyone is incredibly competent in their respective area
  • Collaborate and interact with non-technical clients and users
  • Work with cutting-edge technologies, no legacy
  • Shape and influence product directly
Requirements
  • Strong computer science fundamentals with a mastery of back-end development
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience in technically rigorous environments
  • Python, React (TS), or other programming languages with 5+ years of hands-on experience
  • Experience with FastAPI (or other Python framework strongly desired), AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform
  • High autonomy and self-governance. You will be given tasks with a very high-level definition, and be expected to gather low-lever requirements, consider edge cases, produce a system design and an actual implementation
  • Readiness to work in a startup environment and willingness to learn new languages as new technologies emerge and the team adapts during development
  • A high bar for quality and reliability
Nice to have
  • Experience with FE - TS/JS, ReactJS/Next.js/Node.js
