EPAM is seeking a seasoned Systems/Platform Architect who will lead the design and implementation of robust DevOps solutions, tailored to support both enterprise and business demands, particularly within our new e-commerce platform.
This critical role involves crafting innovative solutions in automation, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Observability and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that each architecture is adeptly aligned with business requirements.
This role is hybrid and will require an on site presence in Waregem.

Responsibilities
- Engage in detailed analysis of both business and non-functional requirements to develop sophisticated deployment strategies
- Lead technical designs and review existing processes to facilitate the efficient onboarding of new solutions and systems
- Produce comprehensive documentation of proposed technical designs
- Collaborate closely with and support the Centers of Excellence (CoEs) of product teams, ensuring seamless coordination with CoEs specializing in Infrastructure and Security, managing end-to-end responsibilities
- Evaluate system architectures and cooperate with project management to ensure alignment and execution of project goals
- Design within a DevOps environment, capturing business demands and formulating both High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD)
- Support the infrastructure through effective coordination and technical guidance

- Proven expertise in DevOps design/architecture with significant hands-on engineering experience
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant professional experience with a deep understanding of tools and technologies involved in DevOps setups
- Located in or willing to frequently travel to Waregem, Belgium (mandatory requirement)
- In-depth knowledge of Jenkins, ArgoCD, GKE, Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform) and other pivotal CI/CD tools
- Strong grasp of Agile methodologies
- Proficiency in English, with the capability to engage effectively with clients internationally
- Client-oriented approach with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of interfacing comfortably with colleagues across all levels
- Desirable knowledge of security practices and firewall configurations
