We are seeking a highly capable Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize our Oracle databases, ensuring efficient performance and seamless migration to AWS services.

This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively handle database tuning, migration from EC2 to AWS RDS for Oracle, and the development of robust backup and restore strategies.

Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize database performance using AWR reports
- Resolve performance bottlenecks and implement best practices for database tuning
- Plan and execute the migration of Oracle databases from EC2 to AWS RDS for Oracle
- Develop and maintain effective migration scripts
- Design and implement comprehensive backup and restore strategies
- Conduct regular backup tests and audits to confirm restore capabilities
- Assess and recommend partitioning strategies for optimal performance and manageability
- Implement and monitor partitioning schemes
- Manage Oracle database installations, configurations, and upgrades
- Monitor database health, performance, and security
- Collaborate with development teams to support database-related activities
- Proficiency in scripting using Shell, PL/SQL, Python for database management and automation
- Proven experience as an Oracle DBA with a strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and administration
- Competency in performance tuning and optimization using AWR
- Demonstrated experience in migrating Oracle databases from EC2 to AWS RDS for Oracle
- Knowledge of backup and restore strategies and tools
- Experience with database partitioning techniques and strategies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
