We are seeking a Mulesoft Solution Architect to join our API Office Services Team.
In this role, you'll be accountable for strategizing solutions and capabilities that enhance the API development lifecycle. Your designs will focus on security, scalability, and maintainability, aligning with portfolio objectives while ensuring an outstanding developer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and other stakeholders to define API requirements and use cases
  • Lead the design and development of API solutions adhering to EPAM API Principles, standards, and best practices
  • Advise product development teams on standards and practices of API Lifecycle Management and promote a culture of API First
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in API architecture and integration
  • Design secure and scalable API solutions based on an API-first approach
Requirements
  • 10-15 years of relevant IT industry experience
  • Minimum 5 years in architecting, leading, and supporting the integration of scalable applications/API solutions
  • 5+ years of experience with HTTP-based system integrations and web services architecture
  • Demonstrated expertise in the full API development lifecycle: design, implementation, deployment, and monitoring
  • Proficiency in designing APIs using Open API Specification and working with API management platforms
  • Skills in implementing CI/CD automation using tools like GitHub
  • Understanding of API security standards, including oAuth2.0/OpenID Connect
  • Competency in contract testing, mocking services, and Java Spring Boot
  • Proven qualifications as a MuleSoft Architect and experience using Agile product development methods
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Capability to quickly learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have
  • Experience implementing API governance and advocating for API best practices
  • Background in designing APIs with a consumer-driven design approach
  • Proficiency in mentoring through the development and facilitation of training content
