Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, primarily using Java and Spring
• Optimize database performance, including query enhancements and data modeling
• Collaborate on system architecture design to ensure reliable and maintainable solutions
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, containerization strategies using Docker or Kubernetes
• Contribute to unit and integration testing to ensure software quality
• Support effective communication with stakeholders, translating technical concepts into clear insights
• Adapt to frontend development challenges when the team prioritizes cross-functional tasks
• Analyze and solve complex technical issues while ensuring long-term software quality
• Take ownership of tasks, prioritizing team goals and delivering robust solutions
• Facilitate group discussions, actively pitch ideas, and remain aligned on system design and strategy
• Monitor code quality and implement best practices to enhance maintainability

• 2+ years of back-end development experience with strong proficiency in programming principles
• Proficiency in Java and Spring
• Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and query optimization practices
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies including CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Competency in unit testing and integration testing techniques
• Background in system design and architecture, experience in scalable microservices
• Expertise in implementing reliable, maintainable systems that support long-term technical excellence
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders
• Problem-solving mindset with flexibility to adapt to evolving requirements
• Demonstrated teamwork abilities and capability to foster a positive team culture
• Overall proactive attitude: take ownership, bring out challenges. Being "response-able," thrive toward team's goals and make things happen
• A "keep learning" attitude: engage more experienced engineers to draw knowledge and apply it, as well as use resources to move personal and team knowledge forward

• Understanding of frontend frameworks with flexibility to contribute cross-functionally
• Familiarity with payment orchestration and optimization workflows
