Middle Data Product Management Consultant

We are seeking a seasoned Middle Data Product Management Consultant to help our client elevate their data product development capabilities at a strategic and operational level. In this role, you will work closely with BI development teams and senior leadership to provide strategic guidance, foster organizational alignment, build and enhance internal product development processes, and ensure that data products drive business innovation and optimized user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to support product owners and the client's product delivery teams throughout the end-to-end data product management process, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals, user needs, and operational efficiency
  • Lead the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of product management frameworks, including processes for feature evaluation and prioritization, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional coordination
  • Drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data products while ensuring alignment with the client's long-term business goals and KPIs
  • Foster strong partnerships with business unit leaders and end users to proactively identify pain points and craft innovative product solutions that address high-impact needs
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, development, and data science teams to define and refine data product requirements, ensuring scalability and adaptability
  • Establish and maintain frameworks for prioritizing features and enhancements, balancing business impact, technical feasibility, and user feedback
  • Oversee the execution, testing, and successful rollout of data products, managing risks and dependencies effectively
  • Monitor, evaluate, and continuously optimize the operational performance and end-user adoption of data products
  • Define, track, and analyze performance KPIs and ROI metrics to assess the success of data product initiatives and inform future improvements
  • Enable knowledge sharing and scalable adoption of data product best practices across product delivery teams and leadership units
  • Mentor and coach team members and stakeholders on product management principles, fostering a culture of collaboration and strategic decision-making

  • 8+ years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in Lead/Manager/Owner/Architect/Coordinator roles
  • Proven ability to bridge technical and business domains with a solid understanding of organizational strategy, processes, and frameworks
  • Extensive knowledge of data and data product management principles, coupled with hands-on experience in process design and implementation
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management, particularly within Agile and Scrum methodologies, with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in defining and executing complex product strategies, epics, and roadmap features in collaboration with stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization
  • Proven experience translating high-level product vision into actionable plans that drive measurable business outcomes
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders, including executive sponsors and cross-functional teams
  • Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities, with an emphasis on mentorship and the cultivation of high-performing, resilient teams
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) at a minimum B2+ level, with the ability to produce clear and compelling technical and business documentation
