We are seeking a highly skilled Lustre File System Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and optimizing Lustre file systems, with a focus on addressing disk performance and stability issues in large High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure the reliability and efficiency of our storage infrastructure.
This position offers hybrid setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Latvia, whether it's your home or our office in Riga.

Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Lustre file systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability
- Identify and resolve disk performance issues, implementing tuning and optimization strategies to enhance system efficiency
- Monitor and troubleshoot Lustre file systems to ensure stability and predictability, addressing any issues promptly
- Manage storage resources, including capacity planning, allocation, and utilization to support HPC workloads
- Work closely with HPC systems administrators and network engineers to integrate Lustre file systems with the overall HPC infrastructure
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality within the Lustre file system
- Provide technical support to users, assisting with file system access, performance issues, and troubleshooting
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of Lustre configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps

- Proven experience of over 3 years in managing Lustre file systems in large-scale HPC environments
- Strong knowledge of disk performance tuning and optimization techniques
- Experience with storage management and capacity planning
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and users
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest Lustre developments and best practices
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) at a minimum B2 level
- Knowledge of network administration and integration with Lustre file systems
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation
- Understanding of security best practices in HPC environments
