Lead Tableau Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Tableau Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with back-end developers to determine data structures, transformations, and calculations required for effective data storytelling. You will also be responsible for suggesting and implementing industry best practices related to dashboard design to improve user interface and generate new insights.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and propose front-end mockups, visualizations, and dashboards for business users, ensuring efficient and effective data storytelling
  • Collaborate with back-end developers to determine data structures, transformations, and calculations required for effective data storytelling
  • Suggest and implement industry best practices related to dashboard design to improve user interface and generate new insights
  • Ensure consistency with other engineers by defining standards for developing products
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, data flow diagrams, and data mappings
  • Support the optimization of data integration processes for performance and efficiency, ensuring data accuracy and integrity

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics and visualization
  • Strong experience in Tableau Desktop for building interactive visualizations and dashboards
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data
  • Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis and manipulation
  • Experience with ETL/ELT solutions for data integration and transformation
  • Understanding of the infrastructure and how it interacts with the underlying databases
  • Ability to define standards for developing products to ensure consistency with other engineers
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and practices
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English at a B2+ level
Nice to have
  • Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Basic understanding of data warehouse principles
