Lead Python Software Engineer - Relocation to Greece

We are looking to recruit a Lead Python Software Engineer to enhance our motivated team.
In this position, you will leverage your comprehensive Python development expertise to architect, create, and sustain state-of-the-art Python applications. Additionally, you will work alongside diverse teams to introduce innovative features, maintaining our applications' leading-edge status.
Please note that this position is only for candidates who will be working from the office in Athens, Greece.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, create, and sustain various Python applications
  • Write maintainable, reusable, testable, and efficient code
  • Engage with multiple teams to define, design, and launch innovative features
  • Debug, troubleshoot, modify, and perform unit testing on Python applications
  • Keep current with emerging industry trends and technologies
  • Participate in all stages of the development lifecycle
  • Adhere to top software development practices and methodologies
  • Enhance application performance and scalability
  • Aid in the continuous enhancement of our development practices
  • Disseminate technical expertise and knowledge to teammates

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar discipline
  • 5+ years of Python development experience
  • 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
  • Background in designing and developing frameworks using Python
  • Proficiency in common stacks, agile methodologies, and the CI/CD pipeline
  • Experience with databases (Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (Apache), and container technology (Kubernetes or OpenShift)
  • Background in DevOps platforms like GitLab
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and proficiency in debugging complex technical issues
