We are seeking a Lead Java Developer to join our team as we embark on a multi-year journey to reimagine and re-platform a legacy application suite into a modern, SaaS-based solution using cutting-edge technologies deployed on the AWS cloud.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the transformation of our applications, ensuring robust design, efficiency, and scalability in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of Java-based applications
  • Ensure code quality through the use of JUnit and adherence to best practices
  • Collaborate with key executives and product owners to understand and fulfill requirements
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers
  • Drive innovation and modernization of legacy applications
  • Implement solutions that align with the AWS cloud environment
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Document all development processes and system changes
  • Manage timelines and deliverables within an agile framework
  • Continuously learn and apply new technologies and frameworks

  • 5+ years of experience in Java development
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in leading and mentoring a development team
  • Proficiency in JUnit
  • Background in deploying applications on AWS
  • Skills in SaaS-based solution development
  • Understanding of software development best practices
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing technologies and frameworks
  • Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with JAX
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud
