The ideal candidate will have progressed through technical roles and possesses significant experience in managing integration and configuration engineering teams, as well as owning and operating complex systems.

Responsibilities
- Oversee Claims Center development teams involved in designing, developing, and delivering new insurance products and maintaining production environments
- Handle the staffing needs for both project and maintenance portfolios
- Coordinate with Project Management and Business Architecture to manage project scope and facilitate development
- Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders including business clients, IT groups, and vendors
- Work closely with various teams to ensure Claims applications meet quality standards and KPIs
- Maintain and support the Claims Center platform and services, ensuring compliance with SLAs
- Integrate unit and functional testing into CI/CD pipelines to maintain high code coverage
- Implement effective branching methodologies for development tracks
- Support the Claims Center ecosystem, including integrations with related systems and third-party services
- Maintain technical documentation such as architecture and deployment diagrams
- Troubleshoot issues related to application performance and availability across different deployment layers
- Enforce engineering standards around security, coding practices, and system integrations

- 5+ years of experience in Java development
- 1+ years of experience in a technical lead role managing sizable teams
- Proficiency in Java and Java Spring
- Expertise in Gosu and Guidewire ClaimCenter
- Strong background in team leadership and management
- Experience with commercial insurance and reinsurance products
- Skills in managing production and non-production environments
- Understanding of CI/CD methodologies and code coverage analytics
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security measures
- Familiarity with integrating financial, CRM, and policy systems within the Claims Center platform
- Capability to manage KPIs and troubleshoot system performance issues
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Background in scaling high-performance teams
- Proficiency in managing vendor relationships
- Experience in ensuring compliance with IT governance standards
