Lead Java Developer

We are seeking a Lead Java Developer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in the continued evolution of our eCommerce platform. Our infrastructure processes a substantial volume of transactions annually, and each team member contributes to the development of high-quality services that facilitate both Payments and Payouts functionalities across global markets.

• Lead the development of a secure, highly available, fault-tolerant, and globally scalable microservices-based platform on AWS, powering our core business operations
• Guide and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture that encourages continuous learning and improvement
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall strategic goals
• Design and implement advanced features and services for both Payments and Payouts, continuously improving system reliability, performance, and maintainability
• Identify areas for innovation and optimize existing systems, leveraging your expertise to enhance transaction volume and user experience
• Advocate for best practices in coding, testing, and architecture, ensuring that the team consistently delivers high-quality, scalable solutions

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, specializing in large-scale distributed applications
• Expertise in Java development and a deep understanding of RESTful API design
• Proven track record in implementing and scaling microservice architectures
• Minimum 5 years of cloud computing experience, with strong proficiency in AWS
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and guiding small to medium-sized teams
• Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Python or Node.js
• Strong foundation in software design, data structures, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases
• Proficiency in writing unit, integration, and smoke tests
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, Pipelines)
• Solid understanding of version control tools, with Git being a key advantage
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a strong grounding in computer science fundamentals

• Experience or interest in the Payments industry
• Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and trends
