We are seeking a dynamic Lead HPC Engineer to oversee and guide all critical operations and engineering activities within the DaVinci HPC environment.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to ensure the stability, performance, and GxP compliance of the HPC infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise a team of 3 HPC infrastructure engineers
• Prioritize, decompose, and distribute technical tasks within the team
• Plan HPC roadmap in collaboration with Novartis internal team and 3rd party teams
• Provide leadership and expertise to support HPC infrastructure in compliance with all GxP requirements
• Ensure HPC infrastructure is properly documented according to GxP requirements
• Participate in engineering and support activities

• 5+ years of experience in architecting and configuring HPC infrastructure
• 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
• Competency in Linux (any rpm based), including kernel modules compilation and debugging tools such as strace, coredump, and tcpdump
• Expertise in job schedulers such as IBM LSF and Slurm
• Knowledge of Bright Cluster Manager including installation and configuration
• Familiarity with GPFS/Lustre filesystems
• Understanding of InfiniBand/OmniPath network interconnect

• Background in hardware diagnostics, upgrades, and tuning involving HCA InfiniBand and disk arrays such as Lustre, Vast, IBM, with servers from Dell and HP
• Skills in infrastructure monitoring using tools like Zabbix, Splunk, and Grafana
• Qualifications in using Easybuild
• Previous experience working in a GxP environment
• Proficiency in Jira and ServiceNow
