Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and management of cloud infrastructure
- Develop and enforce best practices for version control and configuration management
- Collaborate with software developers and other IT staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security and efficiency in operations
- Administer Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers
- Utilize scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl for task automation
- Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Ensure uptime and scalability of production systems
- Participate in on-call rotations for critical system support
- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes
- Document all operational processes and procedures
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
- Remain updated on emerging technologies and trends in DevOps practices
- Any prior experience on Google Distributed Cloud Connected or a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Google Cloud Network Engineer
- Specialize in building networks to private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures
- Experience in the implementation, configuration, maintenance and support of a cloud network, as well as various other Google Cloud services
- Proficient in a modern scripting language for automation of build tasks
- Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring using monitoring tools
- Experience with Big Data on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataflow
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator
- Engineering and coding skills applied in an agile way
- Working with tooling for automated deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code to support Continuous Delivery/Deployment
- Understand the concepts of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to maximize automation, reduce waste, increase scale and apply systemic thinking
- Working with Google Cloud native tooling
- In depth knowledge of cloud-based delivery models
- Proven track record in coding, solution definition, project management/execution, change/risk management
- Work experience from large, international companies and have dealt with or worked for global service providers
