Lead Designer (User Research)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Designer specializing in User Research to join our team.
In this role, you will be pivotal in understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations through various research methodologies. You will lead the research activities, analyze and synthesize data, and ensure findings are effectively communicated to inform design and product strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Execute various user research activities including user interviews, workshops, focus groups, surveys, and usability tests as needed
  • Analyze and synthesize data from research activities to identify patterns, insights, and improvement opportunities
  • Code qualitative data, perform statistical analysis, and create visualizations for communicating findings
  • Create comprehensive documentation including service blueprints, customer journey maps, and user personas
  • Collaborate with product teams to translate research insights into actionable design and development strategies
  • Mentor junior researchers in research methods and best practices
  • Ensure all research activities comply with ethical standards and privacy regulations
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in user research methodologies
  • Facilitate communication between design, product, and technical teams to maximize the effectiveness of research findings
  • Develop research protocols and guidelines for consistent data collection and analysis
Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in user research or a related field
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods, and survey analysis
  • Knowledge of coding qualitative data and performing statistical analysis
  • Familiarity with creating visualizations to communicate research findings
  • Competency in documenting research findings through service blueprints, customer journey maps and user personas
  • Background in collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement research insights
  • Understanding of ethical standards and privacy regulations related to user research
