Lead Designer

For our Brussels studio, we are looking for a Lead Designer that bridges UI and Brand Design to elevate our brand experiences and digital design through visual storytelling.
In this role, you will work across a range of cross-media projects, from concept to execution, collaborating closely with creatives, strategists and developers. Your strong aesthetic sense, understanding of global design standards and commitment to user-centered design will make all the difference for the brands we work for.
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to visit the EPAM studio & client site weekly.

Responsibilities
  • Visual Storytelling: Translate complex ideas into clear, visually engaging narratives
  • UI Design: Set high-quality UI design standards for web, mobile applications, and immersive experiences
  • Design System Management: Implement and maintain robust design systems to ensure consistency across all components and deliverables
  • Brand Design: Develop cohesive brand identities that resonate with target audiences
  • Team Player: Partner with cross-functional teams, including strategists, 3D artists, sound engineers, motion designers, copywriters, and developers
  • Persuasive Powers: Present and articulate design concepts, gather feedback and refine designs based on client and stakeholder input
  • Mentorship: Guide junior designers by providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative environment for skill development
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in design, ideally in an agency setting, with a portfolio demonstrating strong UI, product design, and brand design skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Figma and the Adobe Suite
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles, user-centered design, accessibility, and design systems
  • Capable of running your own projects, meeting deadlines, and working methodically in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail, adaptability, proactive problem-solving, and openness to diverse approaches
Nice to have
  • Interest in motion design, illustration, or front-end development
  • Interest in 3D design and recent advancements in generative AI
  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment
