We are seeking a highly capable Lead Data Support Engineer to coordinate support activities for an extensive data platform solution, utilizing a DevOps approach where development teams are also involved in support tasks.
The ideal candidate will provide leadership and technical expertise to enhance system efficiency, automation, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Identify automation and improvement opportunities, collaborating with the project team on implementation
  • Oversee incident and problem management by project teams to ensure quality and success
  • Assist with troubleshooting issues across teams
  • Represent the support team in front of customers
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for end users
  • Assess user satisfaction and collaborate with users to pinpoint improvement areas
  • Establish and lead a continuous improvement process
  • Allocate proper capacity for support, root cause analysis, problem management, and continuous improvement activities
  • Perform basic troubleshooting to determine the area of responsibility
  • Contribute to automation and self-service initiatives

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or data support environment
  • Proficiency in Snowflake, Dagster, and SQL
  • Background in Python, GitHub (including actions), and ADO
  • Skills in Power BI
  • Expertise in incident and problem management
  • Understanding of customer satisfaction assessment
  • Capability to act as a support representative and escalation point
  • Flexibility to use various technologies and tools as per project requirements

  • Experience with AWS Glue
