Responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable data architectures using Snowflake, including automated data ingestion with Snowpipe
• Enhance data processing performance and security in Snowflake environments
• Construct and sustain event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka or Google Pub/Sub
• Develop real-time data streaming, message queuing, and event processing solutions
• Generate interactive data applications and dashboards through Streamlit
• Author strong Python code for custom components and integrations
• Oversee source code and CI/CD pipelines with GitLab
• Guide development teams, offer mentorship, and uphold technical excellence within the team
• Empower Agile practices and DevOps best practices in cloud and data engineering workflows
• Convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Ensure efficient communication with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives

• Minimum of 5 years in data engineering or closely related fields
• Expertise in Snowflake and familiarity with its security and governance features
• Background in Apache Kafka or Google Pub/Sub and event-driven microservices design
• Proficiency in Python programming via Streamlit for data application development
• Capability to utilize GitLab for source code management and automated deployment strategies
• Snowflake Certification (e.g., SnowPro Core, SnowPro Advanced - Data Engineer) is preferred
• Background in leading development teams and managing coding alongside leadership responsibilities
• Solid knowledge of Agile methodologies and familiarity with DevOps practices

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
