We are seeking an exceptional Lead Data Scientist to helm our client's Generative AI services within the Asia Advanced Analytics team.
As a pivotal driver for our Generative AI endeavors, you will lead groundbreaking solution development efforts. Your core focus will entail mastering Generative AI techniques such as prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation, function calling, and agentic approaches and implementing these across the APAC markets. Your visionary leadership will be crucial in advancing our goals in Customer Experience, Personalization, Operational Transformation, and Digital Innovation, in line with our strategic roadmap.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Data Scientists and ML Engineers to develop and support Generative AI services across Asia, focusing on both talent management and team growth
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and IT SMEs to efficiently optimize large datasets, and with stakeholders to define requirements, design data models, and deploy tailored Generative AI solutions that address complex business challenges
- Drive the creation and implementation of advanced machine learning models using AI tech patterns like RAG and Multi-Agent approach, and standardize processes, techniques, and tools for data scientists within the Generative AI framework
- Actively promote the integration and utilization of insights from Generative AI solutions across the organization, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders
- Innovate sourcing and leveraging of data for Generative AI through methods that incorporate Open AI services, while staying abreast of industry trends and advancements in AI/ML, particularly in Generative AI technologies

- Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, supported by substantial professional experience
- Proven experience in developing, scaling Generative AI solutions, and solving complex business problems through data science
- Proficiency in data pipeline and machine learning architecture, especially in Azure, with strong skills in Python, R, SQL, and specific prompt engineering tools
- Fluency in Japanese and excellent communication skills are required for effectively articulating complex data science concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experienced in data frameworks and cloud platforms such as Azure, Databricks, and Spark, with a focus on implementing and scaling Generative AI solutions
- Proven track record of deploying successful Generative AI solutions, delivering tangible business results
