- Work closely with the Cloud Architect to lead the development of automation elements for deploying production workloads to our cloud environment
- Provide first-tier support for internal and external users
- Design, install, configure, and maintain cloud resources while developing recovery strategies for all systems
- Monitor and evaluate for timely upgrades and additions of IaaS/PaaS and software to meet growth requirements
- Ensure fault tolerance, high availability, scalability, and security on Google Cloud Infrastructure and Platform
- Implement CI/CD pipelines with automated build and test systems
- Handle Production Deployment using Multiple Deployment Strategies
- Automate Google Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Deployment with Infrastructure as Code
- Automate system configurations using configuration management tools
- Implement Microservices Concepts and Best Practices
- Enable application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities
- Address issues promptly and respond positively to setbacks and challenges with a mindset of continuous improvement
- Carry out POCs to ensure suggested design/technologies meet the requirements
- Quickly learn the services used in the environment
- At least 8 to 12 years of experience with a minimum of 5 years on any public cloud
- Leadership experience, having led teams for at least 2 years
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Security, Networks, and Hybrid Cloud
- Strong understanding of GCP Architecture and Deployment architectures
- Familiarity with SRE principles
- Expertise in GCP Services including Compute, Storage, Data tools, and Cloud Build
- Proficiency in GCP Networking fundamentals and Security fundamentals
- Skilled in Container Orchestration and Container Registry - GCR
- Experience with Load Balancer setup, Auto Scaling, databases, firewall rules, etc
- Working knowledge of Backup and Recovery methodology on GCP
- Competency in Infrastructure as Code Tooling like Terraform
- Skilled in Configuration management tools like Ansible, Packer, Salt, Chef, Puppet, etc
- Background in Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
- Understanding of windows or Linux/Unix administration and Unix shell scripting
- Capability to work with CI/CD Pipelines and tooling
- Experience in Cloud Migration / Modernization and leveraging GCP migration toolset
- Coding with modern languages like Python, Groovy
- Application development experience
