Lead Cloud Engineer (Azure VMware Solution)

We are in search of an experienced Lead Cloud Engineer to lead the AVS (Azure VMware Solution) Migration project.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for the direct management of a complex transition from on-premises to Azure, involving detailed configuration and optimization of various infrastructure elements. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, ensuring successful integration and operational excellence while upholding security and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute and enhance AVS-based workloads using Azure Migrate and VMware tools (vMotion) to achieve minimal downtime
• Administer the configuration and troubleshooting of network connectivity (ExpressRoute) to ensure secure, reliable traffic flow to on-premises and secondary cloud regions
• Supervise deployment and administration of key infrastructure services including load balancing with F5, firewall setups, storage configurations, and SQL database connectivity
• Identify and remedy complex technical problems in collaboration with architects, network engineers, and security teams
• Participate in the development of documentation and best practices to elevate team knowledge and enhance operational efficiency
• Improve and extend design and strategy for solution deployment while keeping abreast of new Azure and VMware technological advancements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Microsoft Azure
• At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
• Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale datacenter-to-cloud migrations, especially with AVS, VMware, and Azure Migrate
• Advanced knowledge of network configuration and virtualization, including ExpressRoute and vMotion
• Proficiency in handling load balancing (F5), firewall configurations, storage systems, and SQL database connectivity
• Proven capability to manage complex infrastructure problems in challenging project contexts
• Exceptional communication abilities and adeptness at collaborating effectively in diverse teams
• Possession of relevant certifications like Azure Administrator or VMware credentials is beneficial

• Proficiency in other networking tools and technology
• Experience using Terraform for infrastructure as code
