Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer

Yerevan, Armenia

We are looking for a Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer, a technician with a good understanding of Agile and ITIL processes, who can act as a coach for our DevOps team junior members. Your role will involve crafting, strategizing, and executing tasks.
Moreover, you'll be integral in spearheading strategic endeavors like establishing high-availability application environments, conducting disaster recovery assessments, and facilitating the seamless onboarding of new clientele.
This is a fully remote position that offers you the flexibility to work from any location in Armenia, whether it's your home or well-equipped offices in Yerevan or Gyumri.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the multi-tenant project as the Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer
  • Instruct and coach junior members of the DevOps team
  • Design, plan, and engineer tasks for the team
  • Participate in strategic activities such as setting up the environment for high availability applications and conducting disaster recovery testing
  • Participate in the onboarding of new customers
  • Ensuring security by design and adhering to the principle of least privilege
  • Comply with CSTR, Cloud Platform & Engineering standards

  • 5+ years of experience in Azure Cloud and AKS, with strong skills in Azure DevOps
  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring a team of engineers
  • Proficiency in Terraform
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and in-depth understanding of DevOps practices
  • Python skills would be advantageous
  • Deep understanding of network scale and security scopes
  • A good understanding of Agile and ITIL processes
  • Ability to work in Central European Time (CET) hours (9 AM - 5 PM)
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal (Upper-Intermediate Level)
Nice to have
  • Basic understanding of AWS and GCP
